Field Station
Field Station Moab, UT opened its doors in late April 2023. A new to market hospitality brand targeting price conscious adventurers seeking a launch pad to iconic outdoor recreation. More comfortable than a campground and less boring than a traditional hotel, Field Station is a distinguished combination of lodging, gear, and community. One which inspires all to #StayOutThere.
Key contributions as Senior Director of Retail, Food and Beverage:
Translated brand strategy into tactical execution plans to enable headquarters and property teams. Created working frameworks and SOPs, administered training, and codified accountabilities.
Led concept and design development for retail and F&B outlet physical infrastructure. Managed execution, installation, and move in pre-opening.
Built and managed a multidisciplinary team of retail, food and beverage experts. Led F&B director, retail buyer, property supervisors, and line-level teams.
Led creative development and strategic sourcing of custom-branded apparel. Centralized buying methods and means to maximize MOQs resulting in improved COGs.

AutoCamp
AutoCamp welcomed new guests in Catskills, NY June of 2022 and Zion, UT in May the following year. Both properties further bolstered AutoCamp Hospitality Group’s position in the outdoor hospitality space. Design by nature. Nature by design. Spending time outside has been forever changed with AC’s unique approach to camping at the doorstep of iconic parks throughout the USA.
Key contributions as Senior Director of Retail, Food and Beverage:
Re-positioned the “General Store” and “The Kitchen” for repeatable and scalable growth.
Opened two new locations, built launch plans for three additional doors, and stabilized the current fleet’s standard operating procedures for Retail, Food, and Beverage.
Deployed a new POS system, unique identifier database, inventory management processes, system integration, and reporting.
Overhauled prepared food menu, consumer packaged goods, and bar offerings portfolio wide maximizing non-room revenue on site.
REI Co-op
neighborhood shop
In the Fall of 2021 REI Co-op opened its first ever small format store. Rooted in the belief of “outside every day”, this “neighborhood shop” concept targeted new customers in an urban setting. Through a tailored assortment of goods and services this East Cambridge location enables adventure near and afar.
Key contributions as Senior Experience Strategist:
Authored the strategic framework of the REI Co-op’s “Ecosystem of Place” which shaped the enterprise perspective on future business opportunities supported by physical touch points.
Defined point of presence attribution, offer-set, designation, and KPIs to drive market productivity across the fleet.
Design managed new store delivery: oriented the creative project team, leveraged x-div partner contributions, and aligned stakeholders for a successful shared outcome. On time, on budget, and built for experimentation.
Deployed a new monitoring system to deepen understanding of customer behavior informing flow, dwell time, and conversion.
REI Co-op
Gateway Store
In the Fall of 2019 REI Co-op opened it’s first destination retail door. This unique format addresses the needs of outdoor recreation users on there way to, during, and after adventure. By reorienting the primary impression and space allocation of what would be traditional selling floor, the co-op was able to truly lead with experiences, revealing rentals and guided outdoor trips.
Key contributions as Senior Experience Strategist:
Authored north star of burgeoning Gateway Store designation customer experience principles.
Integrated new business units into the project development plan. Developed revised proforma including rental, single day, and multi-day guided trip revenue streams.
Documented proof of concept operational requirements, refined space allocation, subsequent capital investment, and operational expenses.
Design managed remodel delivery: oriented the creative project team, leveraged x-div partner contributions, and aligned stakeholders for a successful shared outcome. On time, on budget, and built for driving market productivity.
REI Co-op
washington DC Flagship
In Oct 2016 REI Co-op opened it’s 5th Flagship store in Washington D.C. This reclaim reuse build was the finish line of two parallel tracks of work. REI’s store evolution which repositioned the customer experience fleet wide and multi-year flagship investment of remodels and special projects.
Key contributions as Experience Design Manager:
Project champion: drove new store opening process to meet and exceed market demand. From community listen sessions, lease signing announcement, concept design, design development, construction, local assortment distortion, delivery, and grand opening launch activities.
Cultivated and negotiated sub tenant of world class food and beverage partner La Colombe. Led cafe space allocation, adjacency, and TI coordination with project team.
Concepted, pitched, created, and delivered “Outdoor Collective,” a first-of-its-kind shop-in-shop in key locations, introducing new brands like Topo Designs, Parks Project, and Polar Stuff. Facilitated incubation of emergent brands now assorted fleet wide. Drove new-member acquisition and diversified composition.
